As part of my role at ChyronHego, I am responsible for our product platform engineering.  This encompasses everything from specification to manufacturing.  I have walked several products through UL and CE emissions, immunity, and safety testing, including some interesting mitigation experiences.  
  
Our systems are often utilized in hostile environments such as production trucks, helicopters, or on site outdoor productions.  Engineering systems for these environments requires cooling, bracing, and vibration testing not normally associated with a rack mount computer.  
 
Additionally, I have been engineering a new control surface for operators of our systems.  This project has given me some unique exposure to technologies like aluminum extruding and laser etchings.  My years of experience in electrical and mechanical design have given me the ability to understand and guide development of products in diverse markets.
